Dr. Russell Adams, DO
About Dr. Adams
Dr. Russell Adams is a certified specialist in sports and family medicine. A native of Pittsburgh, he attended Muhlenberg College and received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine as Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy. He completed his residency program at The Medical Center at Beaver and his Fellowship at The Ohio State University.
He started his career in the United States Air National Guard Deployment as a flight surgeon. Prior to joining Allegheny Medical, he worked at various sports medicine facilities, including Garden State Orthopedics Associates, Steel Valley Emergency Physicians, and Montour Family Healthcare. In addition to his title as medical doctor, he was also honored with a title as Lieutenant Colonel of the US Air Force.
He is trained to diagnose and treat sports-related issues and treat medical problems such as allergies, burns, strains, sprains, and many more. Dr. Adams will see patients of all levels of sporting or athletic abilities, as well as non-athlete patients. Dr. Russell Adams is available for consultation at Allegheny Medical.
